About

Who is Amandeep Singh?

Amandeep Singh, known as Aman, is a local from Abbotsford where he grew up and completed his education. With a background in sports and health, Aman is self-employed as a soccer and physical education coach for kids and youth, and also works as a kinesiologist, helping people recover from injuries. He places great importance in God, faith, family values, community, and aiding those in need. Over the past year, Aman has participated in various protests across British Columbia, spoken at events, and joined the parental rights protests initiated by residents of the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver.

A People Centered Approach

Aman believes that now is the time for change, feeling that the BC government is taking citizens for granted and not upholding their rights as Canadians. He advocates for lower taxes, fair distribution of resource revenue, support for seniors, protection for farmers, aid for truckers and healthcare workers, affordable housing, reduced land costs, lower tuition fees, improved healthcare access, and the protection of parental rights.

Committed to making a positive impact on his community, province, Aman exemplifies steadfast integrity and determination. He values children’s, parental, and human rights, and leads initiatives for enduring change. Aman is ready to take the essential steps to protect future generations and create a brighter, more transparent British Columbia.

A Voice for the People

As Aman enters the political arena as an independent candidate, his vision as a leader offers hope to British Columbians who are passionate about the province's future. By embracing independence, Aman aims to challenge the dominance of traditional political parties and is dedicated to removing corrupt foreign interference in the lives of all Canadians. The time for change is now, as the current political system, entrenched in partisan interests, hinders progress and stifles the voices of everyday British Columbians and Canadians. Aman's vision and strategy focus on creating a government that is accountable, transparent, and dedicated to serving the people through legislation that works for them rather than serving the government.

Take a moment to look around and reflect on a few important questions: Are things heading in the right direction? Are you and your family happy? Safe? Can you afford to put food on the table? Can you afford a home? Are you working harder to just pay more in taxes? Could local production of fruits and vegetables be a more cost-effective alternative? Are your parents receiving proper care? Are your children receiving an education? Will your children be able to afford a home in the future? Will you be able to retire? Does the future look promising for you and your family?

These are crucial questions to reflect on. Be sure to communicate your concerns to your local MLA, as it is their responsibility to represent your issues in the legislature. (Remember, they work for YOU!) If your concerns are not being addressed, ask yourself whether your MLA is fulfilling their duties. Are they actively working for you or, are they only visible at events for photo ops and selfies?

Platform

Aman will stand up for the people of Abbotsford and fight on issues that are important for everyone such as:

British Columbia is abundant in resources such as forestry, mining, energy, fisheries and aquaculture, agriculture, tourism, and recreation. What many people in BC might not realize is that every year these resources generate billions of dollars in revenue. But where is this money going? Where would you like to see it invested? This revenue could significantly benefit the people of BC in many ways but, like many things, it isn't always being used to its full potential.

Lowering taxes in British Columbia could have several key impacts:

Encouraging Entrepreneurship

Reduced taxes can ease the financial burden on entrepreneurs and small businesses, promoting growth, innovation, and job creation.

Boosting Consumer Spending

More disposable income may lead to increased spending on goods and services, driving economic growth and supporting local businesses. This can also boost sales tax revenue.

Attracting Talent

Lower personal income taxes can make BC more appealing to skilled workers and professionals, helping to address labor shortages.

Stimulating Real Estate

Lower taxes can make housing more affordable, increasing real estate activity and benefiting related industries.

Encouraging Local Investment

Reduced taxes can lead to more savings and investments in community projects, businesses, and infrastructure.

Fostering Economic Diversification

Lower taxes can attract diverse industries and investors, making the economy more resilient and less reliant on traditional sectors.

Improving Quality of Life

Lower taxes can enhance residents' financial freedom and reduce stress, positively affecting health, happiness, and community engagement.

Lower tuition costs make higher education more affordable, allowing more students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to attend college or university. This increases overall access to education and can lead to a more educated population. By decreasing the cost of tuition, students would need to borrow less money to fund their education, leading to lower student debt levels after graduation. This financial relief can reduce stress and improve post-graduate quality of life. Lower tuition fees could attract more students to enroll in higher education institutions, boosting enrollment rates. This can benefit colleges and universities by ensuring a steady flow of students and revenue, as well as enhancing campus diversity. An educated workforce is critical to economic growth. Lowering tuition can help produce more graduates who are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to various sectors of the economy, fostering innovation and productivity. Lowering tuition can make it easier for students to pursue degrees in fields that are in high demand, such as technology, healthcare, and engineering, which can help address skills shortages and meet labor market needs. Education is a powerful tool for social mobility. By making higher education more affordable, lower tuition rates can help individuals from lower-income families improve their socio-economic status, leading to greater equality and reduced income disparity over time. Communities benefit from a more educated populace, which can lead to increased civic engagement, lower crime rates, and improved health outcomes. The ripple effect of accessible education can enhance overall community well-being. Graduates with less debt are more likely to have disposable income to spend, invest, and start businesses. This economic activity can boost local economies and create a positive cycle of growth and opportunity. Lower tuition can encourage lifelong learning and continuing education, allowing individuals to upskill or reskill throughout their careers. This adaptability is crucial in an ever-evolving job market and can enhance individual and economic resilience.

Farmers are crucial for providing the food that residents of BC and beyond depend on. By supporting them, we ensure a stable and reliable food supply, lessening our reliance on imports and boosting local food security. Agriculture plays a major role in BC’s economy, generating billions of dollars each year. Farmers not only create jobs but also support local economies through related industries such as food processing and distribution. Many BC farmers practice sustainable methods that aid in environmental conservation. Supporting them helps maintain soil health, manage water resources, and preserve biodiversity. Farming is a cornerstone of rural communities, helping to sustain vibrant areas by providing essential services, infrastructure, and a strong community spirit. It also preserves BC's cultural heritage and traditional agricultural practices, passing down valuable knowledge through generations. Farmers are key to adapting to and mitigating climate change impacts. Supporting them enhances their ability to cope with extreme weather and shifting conditions, which is vital for agricultural productivity. Backing farmers also fosters innovation and research in agriculture, leading to advancements in technology, crop varieties, and farming practices that boost productivity and sustainability. Additionally, farming diversifies the economy by offering a range of products and services, helping to stabilize the economy and reduce reliance on any single industry. Supporting local farmers strengthens food systems, reduces the carbon footprint from transporting food long distances, and improves community resilience by keeping food production local. Fresh, locally grown produce also supports public health by providing nutritious options.

Overall, protecting farmers in BC is vital for maintaining food security, supporting the economy, preserving the environment, and fostering vibrant rural communities. Their role is integral to the province’s well-being and sustainability

Healthcare Workers

Quality of Care:

Well-supported healthcare workers are more likely to provide high-quality care. Adequate resources, training, and support help ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment and services.

Workforce Retention:

Supporting healthcare workers through competitive wages, benefits, and good working conditions helps retain experienced professionals and reduce turnover, which is essential for maintaining a stable and skilled workforce.

Burnout Prevention:

Healthcare workers face high levels of stress and burnout due to the demanding nature of their jobs. Providing mental health support, reasonable workloads, and adequate rest can help prevent burnout and improve job satisfaction.

Increased Efficiency:

Well-supported healthcare workers are more productive and efficient, leading to better health outcomes and more effective use of resources within the healthcare system.

Attracting Talent:

Supportive work environments and competitive compensation attract new talent to the healthcare field, ensuring a continuous supply of skilled professionals to meet the growing needs of the population.

By investing in healthcare workers, the government of British Columbia can improve the overall effectiveness and sustainability of its healthcare system while ensuring that patients receive high-quality, compassionate care.

Affordable home ownership is important for the people of British Columbia for several reasons:

Economic Stability:

Owning a home can provide financial security and stability for individuals and families, allowing them to build equity and invest in their future.

Community Development:

Affordable home ownership encourages long-term residency, which fosters stronger, more stable communities with higher levels of civic engagement and social cohesion.

Reduced Housing Inequality:

Making home ownership affordable can help reduce economic disparities by providing more people with the opportunity to own property, which is often a key asset in building wealth.

Health and Well-being:

Stable housing is linked to better physical and mental health outcomes. Affordable home ownership can reduce stress and anxiety related to housing insecurity and provide a sense of security and belonging.

Market Stability:

Affordable housing can help stabilize the real estate market by preventing housing bubbles and making the market accessible to a wider range of buyers.

Better Health Outcomes:

Easier access to healthcare services leads to earlier diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, improving overall health outcomes and reducing the severity of medical conditions.

Equity and Inclusivity:

Improved access ensures that all residents, regardless of their location, income, or background, receive the care they need, reducing health disparities and promoting fairness.

By improving access to healthcare, British Columbia can ensure a healthier, more equitable, and economically stable society.

Parental rights should primarily be the decision of the parents rather than the government for several reasons:

Respect for Family Autonomy:

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their children according to their values, beliefs, and cultural practices. This autonomy respects the family unit's integrity and recognizes parents as the primary caregivers and decision-makers for their children.

Individualized Understanding:

Parents typically have a deep, personal understanding of their children's unique needs, strengths, and challenges. This knowledge allows them to make more informed, tailored decisions about their children's upbringing, education, and health.

Preservation of Diversity:

Allowing parents to decide how to raise their children supports cultural, religious, and philosophical diversity. It prevents a one-size-fits-all approach that may not align with the values and beliefs of all families.

Parental Responsibility and Bond:

Parents are usually the most invested in their children's well-being and future. Empowering them to make decisions fosters a sense of responsibility and strengthens the parent-child bond, which is crucial for a child’s development.

Limited Government Overreach:

Keeping parental rights in the hands of parents prevents unnecessary government intervention in private family matters, which can be seen as an overreach of power and a threat to personal freedoms.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

Parents can adapt to their children's changing needs more quickly and flexibly than government regulations or policies, which can be slow to change and less responsive to individual situations.

Parental rights should remain with the parents to ensure the best interest of the child and respect family autonomy.
